A freeware program to have your Series 3a/3c/3mx speak the current time aloud when a hotkey is pressed.
I wrote this program after I realised that Time-Voc by David Joyce (available elsewhere) would not be able work if I had my system password enabled (I would have to enter my password to unlock the Psion before I could get to the program).
Memory: 9k standby, 30k when speaking
Disk: 89k (maximum/typical), 28k minimum
spktime.zip (173787) Speak Time program
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO UPGRADERS!
I have changed the file format of the saved preferences (\OPD\SPKTIME.INI). Before running version 1.2 or later for the first time, make sure any existing \OPD\SPKTIME.INI file is deleted. The new format uses the database functions to create a keyed database of settings, instead of the previous raw binary data format. The file is bigger now, but I won't have to change the format in the future as I add new options.
